2020 Tolerance Week Events


Monday, March 30 – WITCC Cargill Auditorium – 6:30

Facing Fear documentary screening followed by a discussion led by Karen Mackey, director of the Sioux City Human Rights Commission.

Tuesday, March 31 – Sioux City Public Museum – 12 noon

Above and Beyond documentary screening.  City of Hope: Resurrection City and the 1968 Poor People’s Campaign, the Tolerance Week Exhibit and the photographs of Vernon Tott will be on display.  Lunch will be served.  Please RSVP to the Musuem at 279-6174.  Admission is limited to the first 90 RSVPs.

Wednesday, April 1 – Sioux City Orpheum Theatre – 9:30 am

Area 8th graders will attend a screening of the film Paper Clips, followed by a presentation from local teachers who have attended the Paper Clips teacher’s workshop.

Wednesday, April 1 – Sioux City Orpheum Theatre – 7:30

Who Will Write Our History documentary screening followed by remarks from the writer, producer and director Roberta Grossman

Terazin Camp Survivor Inge Auerbacher will be in Sioux City speaking at area schools from March 30 – April 3.
